Hello everyone, today I want to share with you how I make my salted cod fish. What you will need for this recipe
Salted cod fish (1/2 pound)
2 medium size tomatoes
1 small onion
1 small green bell pepper
1 tsp of garlic
2 tsp of tomato paste
First thing I do whenever I’m making any salted fish, is to place it in a big bowl of water the day before. The idea of doing this is to get rid of all the salt which the fish has been preserved in. I then boil the fish for 5 to 10 minutes to make sure I got rid of the the salt, before cooking it. Now. Let’s get right into it. Shall we?
Next step, I throw out the water, then lay the fish on paper towel.( You can cut them in tiny pieces, or shred them with a fork)
Heat oil to medium heat, add the fish and fry for 5 min
After frying for 5 min, set aside.
And finally your tomatoes, then cook until onions, pepper and tomatoes are soft.
Add a little water to get things simmering nicely
Serve with bread, pita, rice or whatever you desire. I had mine with white rice and avocado and it was delicious.
